On the occasion of this Day of the International Proletariat, the 1st of May 2022, the Peru People’s Movement, generated organ of the Communist Party of Peru for the work abroad, extends its solemn communist salutes to our class the international proletariat; to the communists and revolutionaries of the world who every day give their lives in the class struggle to finally crush and sweep this old and rotten imperialist order of exploitation and oppression from the face of the earth. Likewise, we salute the peoples of the world; the oppressed peoples who struggle with more and more heroism against the genocidal imperialist bloodsuckers who exploit and oppress their countries, and to the working people of the imperialist countries, that together with the proletariat are rising up against the reactionarization and warmongering of the imperialist reactionary states.

As part of its general and final crisis, in a desperate attempt to save themselves and maintain their old order, this dying imperialism is advancing in its process of once more re-dividing the world between the imperialist superpowers and powers, who are preparing themselves for a third world war of plunder and genocide for world hegemony. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is an imperialist war against an oppressed nation, an unjust war, a war of imperialist plunder and re-division, and it is the most recent step in the escalation of the interimperialist struggle and the militarization of Europe, driven mainly by Yankee imperialism, the “giant with clay feet” that desperately tries to neutralize its Russian rival in order to be able to confront its main imperialist rival, Chinese imperialism. The imperialist powers in Europe maintain their alliances with Yankee imperialism to get their part of the booty; the profits that come from the exploitation of the proletariat and the peoples in Ukraine and the other oppressed countries. The biggest of these powers, mainly Germany, dream of becoming superpowers.

Facing the present campaign of the most vulgar and ferocious war propaganda from the imperialist big bourgeoisie and its states, the class and the peoples all over the world are rising up more and more every day in great mobilizations against the imperialist war; not only against Russian imperialism but against all the imperialists and their genocidal plans. In spite of the dark work of the revisionists and opportunists, who traffic with the class struggle and socialism in order to maintain the imperialist system – and talk of “peace” while they give their full support to the imperialist wars – the masses of the people are not letting themselves be fooled by the warmongering and refuse to choose sides in the struggle between the exploiters.

Facing the imperialist war and the growing reactionarization and fascistization of the reactionary states, we call the communists and revolutionaries of the world to draw lessons from the experiences of the whole struggle of our class and learn from the contributions of Chairman Gonzalo and the people’s war in Peru to the world proletarian revolution. The present situation in the world urgently demands that the proletariat in each country constitutes or reconstitutes its vanguard, the Communist Party, to lead and arm the class and the people – with our ideology and with rifles – to be able to confront the imperialist war with revolutionary war, with people’s war. These tasks demand militarized Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Parties, built in the midst of the struggles of the class and the people, applying the ideology of the international proletariat to the concrete conditions of each country to prepare, initiate and develop the people’s war.

Finally we reaffirm ourselves in the Marxist principle that for the proletariat and the peoples, the only way to defeat and prevent the imperialist wars is to turn the weapons against their own bourgeoisie, and we insist in the full validity of the slogan “turn the imperialist war into civil wars”.
